My Grandma always fixed me
My Grandma always fixed me hot tea with honey and lemon. It always puts me in a good mood when I make myself a cup.

Tea Everyday
I started drinking tea in high school when my Mom used to put teabags in a big bottle and put it out in the sun and then bring it in and chill it for fresh brewed iced tea instead of the powdered Nestea or Lipton highly sugared stuff. When I was in England in 1981 as an 18 year old I learned the proper way to brew and have tea and have had every day since. Now as a much older adult I have Decaf Chai with Soymilk frothed in my Keurig frother and some fresh grated cinnamon & nutmeg on time. For plain tea I have decaf green or white tea sometimes with some steamed coconut milk and my own homemade pastries. Drinking tea brinks me back to watching the processional of the late Lady Diana in 1981 on her way to marry Prince Charles.

I love my Chamomile tea every night before bed. Warm, soothing, calming... ahhh, the wonders of tea! ♥♥
As a child I was quite sickly
As a child I was quite sickly all the time. My beloved father would always make me a cup of hot tea with honey and milk to sooth my strep throat. Now tea is my preferred drink. I drink it all day long and even have a collection of teapots.

I so enjoy a nice mug of decaf chai tea with a little cream and stevia in the fall/winter just before bedtime. It helps me to relax and it gives me something to look forward to and savor after a long day!
Night time tea time
I love to take my tea at night, often adding nut milk, and sipping it either alone, or with a small treat. I love to sip tea whilst reading a book, watching a moving film or simply sitting by the window.
My Tea Time Memory
After getting back home from Jr High and High school, I used to settle in to do homework by drinking a hot cup of tea with honey and eating a fresh apple. It was something I looked forward to after each school day.
Tea time iI Always The Right Time
I look forward to my tea time break each day!
My yearly tradition: As soon
My yearly tradition: As soon as Fall hits, I break out the chai tea.
Make my own flavored teas
I love experimenting with teas to come up with my own unique flavors. I even will blend fruits and add to the tea. Add a little sugar and some ice for the summer or just nice and hot for the winter. Either way is great!
Tea with Grandmas
My grandmas both drank tea (not coffee) and so whenever I went to visit, that's what we drank.
Grandma's Tea Party
I remember as a little girl, my grandmother having tea parties with me and making little tea cakes and sandwiches. I always looked forward to this.
Tea Time Giveaway
I love chai tea at my bay window when the snow falls.
Favorite tea memory
My mother did not think that children should drink tea...worried about caffeine, but when I would visit my grandmother (HER mother!! lol) she would make me piping hot tea with cream and honey and I thought it was heaven. Every time I make tea for myself now (still with cream and honey) I remember my grandmother's sweet chuckle as she made out tea and how deliciously rebellious I felt.
TEA
My grandmother and mother both are heavy tea drinkers... although they may prefer a simple black breakfast tea and I like herbal or green teas but I also share a love for teas. We all have a collection of teas and tea cups and pots and of course knick-knacks made for tea drinkers. I am glad to have something in common with the man ladies in my life because I love them and can not wait to share another cup of tea for three!
The Neighbor
My family grew up in the south and tea was the sugary, brown liquid that my father poured over ice. A lady moved in down the road and being neighborly, my mother invited her over for coffee. The new neighbor was an immigrant from England and she told us about a custom that her native country had. Every afternoon, the English would partake in tea time. Our new friend patiently explained to us that her idea of tea was to serve it hot with milk and sugar in a china cup with a saucer. If one wishes to indulge, scones could be served. The next week Isabelle invited my mother and I to her house to have Tea. This was more than 40 years ago but I still remember the thrill of holding a china cup with hot tea and putting butter and jam on a homemade scone. I felt sophisticated and smart.
My fondest memory would have
My fondest memory would have to be when having an upset stomach as a child and even in adulthood my Mom would make Peppermint Tea.
Tea Time Giveaway
When I was little and spent weekends with my grandparents, we would always have tea with honey while reading bed time stories.
Spicy, Refreshing and Soothing
I'm an avid tea drinker, I have been for years. Recently I was diagnoised w/ colon disease and find that more then ever my tea time not only relaxes me but the teas I drink sooth my symptoms. I have a few favorite go-to's. The first is Russian Tea (see below) It is something my mother would on cold days living in Maine. The second is mint tea from Peperment, Chocolate Mint or Spearmint leaves I tended, cut and dried that fall. It is light and refreshing and perfect way prepare for a night sleep. And the last is a simple honey, lemon, ginger tea. Stomach soothing and great for a bit of congestion. To me tea is more then just a food it is a ritual and a process to be enjoyed.
Russian Tea: 2 cups Tang/ 2 cups white sugar/ 1/4 cup instant tea powder/ 3/4 cup lemon-flavored instant tea powder/ 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon/ 1 teaspoon ground cloves
Learning Herbs With Mom
My fondest memory of tea, is with my Mother. She would sit me down to teach me about herbs. We would create different teas with fresh dried herbs and smell all of the wonderful scents. My favorite herb to use back then was Chamomile, even just breathing it in a bit-calms you down. I will never forget that valuable time I spent with my Mom. Every time I make and drink tea now, it reminds me of her.
