Cajun-Seared Catfish
15 minutes prep time | Serves 4
Ingredients
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 4 catfish fillets, 5–6 oz each
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 fresh lemon, quartered
Directions
- Mix paprika, thyme, cayenne, salt, and black pepper together in a small bowl. Transfer spice mixture to a flat plate.
- Dredge catfish fillets in spice mixture, rubbing spices in with your hands so they adhere to both sides of the fish.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add catfish to skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
