Yields approximately 2 1/2 cups of sauce.
Ingredients
- olive oil
- 1 medium onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- Sea Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Heat the oil in a medium size saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and onion saute for about 5 minutes
- Add the remaining ingredients
- Simmer over the low heat for 20 minutes.
Tip: Store in glass jars and refrigerate for up to two weeks.
