Teriyaki Marinade
Ingredients:
2/3 cup cooking sherry
1 cup soy sauce
4 1/2 tsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
1/3 cup brown sugar
7 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp ginger
dash red pepper flakes
black pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Bring sherry to a boil in a saucepan
2. Reduce heat & simmer for 10 minutes
3. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar
4. Season with garlic, ginger, pepper flakes
5. Add Black pepper for taste
6. Simmer an additional 5 minutes
7. Store in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator
Tip: Marinate chicken, fish, pork or beef overnight for best results.
