Strawberry Banana Smoothie

20 minutes prep time  |  Serves 3
 
What you need:
 

  • 1 pkg Mori-Nu Silken Soft Tofu*
  • 1 small ripe banana
  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen sweetened strawberries, partially thawed including liquid

*Mori-Nu Silken Lite Firm Tofu can also be used (add 1/4 cup juice for thinner consistency)
 
What you do:
 

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients. Whip until smooth.
  2. Serve chilled.

For a Tropical Smoothie, blend 1 pkg Mori-Nu Silken Soft Tofu, 1 banana, 2 c pineapple-orange juice, 1 c cubed fresh mango, and 1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple in natural juice, dash each cinnamon and nutmeg.

For a Peachy Smoothie, blend 1 c all-fruit peach juice, 1 pkg Mori-Nu Silken Soft Tofu, 1 (16 oz) can unsweetened peaches in juice, 1 c cubed fresh papaya, and a dash each  nutmeg and cinnamon.
 

Per serving: 161 calories, 5 g protein, 30 g carbohydrates, 2.5 g fiber, 3 g total fat, 9 mg sodium, 0 mg cholesterol.
