Winter Wellness Tips
Winter Wellness Tips
• Set aside one day each week to rest, reflect, and regenerate.
• Meditate for at least 10 minutes a day to deeply rest your mind.
• The Bach Flower Remedy Oak enhances willpower, endurance, and devotion to higher ideals. Add four drops to eight ounces of water four times a day, dab it on your skin, or put a few drops in your bath.
• Take dry-heat saunas two to three times a week. Start with five minutes and work up to 20 minutes.
• Take a 20-minute aromatherapy bath three times a week before bed. This is an excellent way to reduce stress, soothe muscles, care for the skin, and encourage detoxification by opening the pores and stimulating lymph flow—releasing toxins through perspiration. Try oils such as rose and lavender that will help reduce cravings or stress, or rosemary, which can help reduce aches and pains.
• Try adding two to three tablespoons of chia seeds into your daily diet. They can be added to soups, stews, and dressings or sprinkled on foods such as eggs and veggies. They’re a great source of omega 3 and plant-based calcium plus a major hunger buster due to high fiber content.
